Based in Lancashire, our company, Destin Solutions specialises in developing cloud-based business intelligence applications for Local Government and Councils across the UK to help optimise people, processes and information.

The successful candidate will have had at least one year’s experience working in a team providing business intelligence solutions and be ready to take their career to the next level with an opportunity to work with an award winning, financially sound organisation, currently in an exciting phase of growth.

The candidate we are looking for will also be responsible for data warehouse maintenance and development, supporting our systems, managing access as well as managing database security/integrity and back up procedures.

About the role:

– Required: Proficiency in SQL, Power BI and SSIS
– Knowledge of Microsoft Azure

In addition;

  • Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards
  • Demonstrate an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI
  • Show analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals
  • Undertake Power BI report development
  • Assist in migrating and enhancing existing client business intelligence solutions from Reporting Services to Power BI
  • Provide DBA support to development teams 
  • Automate and manage data load routines to extract and clean data
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and isolate performance issues in the BI solution and act to prevent recurrences
  • Design maintenance procedures and put them into operation
  • Ensure databases meet user requirements
