NEXUS Successes in 2022

The NEXUS missing property locator has been generating thousands of pounds in additional revenue for our Customers seeking to identify both domestic properties and commercial premises not paying either council tax or business rates. Below are just some of the recent matches our solution has achieved for UK Local Authority clients.

This property has a 3-bedroom, self-contained annexe that was not on the Council Tax list. NEXUS was able to identify this, and it was reported to the local authority in April 2021. After being referred to the VOA, this annex was brought back onto the council tax list as a band B later that year.

NEXUS was able to identify this garden nursery in the North-West of England that was not on the ratings list. After reporting this to the local authority, this nursery was put on the ratings list at a rateable value of £11,500.

This new-build house in the West-Midlands was not added to the banding list after it was sold in 2018.  Nexus was able to identify this and subsequently this property was added to the council tax list as a band C and back dated to 2018.

This property in the South of England was identified by NEXUS as not being on the banding list in Oct 2021. Thanks to NEXUS this property was added to the banding list as a band F and back dated to Sept 2020.

A large canine hotel and training centre located in remote countryside in the north west for several years has now been added to the rating list with a rateable value of £161,000.

Two neighbouring new build properties in London have now been added to the council tax banding list as band D properties from 2017.
