The Job Role

Overview
This position has been identified by the owners of Ascendant and Destin to enhance the quality of the services supplied through Destin – Vision as the primary data engine. This is an exciting new challenge for an individual to manage a portfolio of customers to build and secure long standing relationships.

Role
The Key objective is to service and on board new and existing customers from the Local Authority sector and also the private sector. This will involve extensive travel throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern and Southern Ireland. An extensive IT knowledge, although sector and client specific training will be conducted on site, to train end users (develop an encompassing soft manual) to effectively use the system and reporting suites along with understanding their needs to develop the system and reporting further.

You will arrange and manage your own diary to compliment review meetings with any new releases. All meetings and training will be logged and documented to produce management information to the Head of Service/Revenues and Benefits Managers, which you would be expected to present to them at the end of your visits. This will also form the reporting criteria that has to be relayed back to the developers in the business with full documentation and specification models.

Remuneration
This is a self-employed role for the first year where a salary is based on working 5 days per week with a package of £23,500 that works out at £100 per day over 47 weeks – we are taking into account the average holiday entitlements and Bank Holidays. There will be an opportunity to review this package to introduce a bonus scheme following the first 6 months that would reflect the business trading at that point, but would take into account future contracts.

Any other working commitments or contracts that could have a conflict of interest would have to cease, but other contracts in place that you would like to continue with would be acceptable. However, this would reflect in the salary and day rate.

This can be paid at any point in the calendar month to tie in with any direct debits on the submission of a correct invoice.

Expenses
All business travel will be fully refunded at:

  • 38p per mile for car allowance
  • Standard rail fare – unless 1st Class is cheaper

Hotels will be paid for by you and claimed back through an expense claim monthly – A Premier Inn or equivalent hotel is deemed to be adequate.

Subsistence for away from home will be paid at £25 per day – again this must be claimed for in your monthly expense claim

Other out of pocket expense – Parking, Tubes, Taxis, etc will also be covered and must be submitted with receipts as part of your expense claim.

Reporting
You will report directly to the Managing Director of Ascendant and the Owner of Destin Solutions.
