News : Housing Advice available in 7 languages to Swansea residents
The City and County of Swansea have enjoyed Destin's touchscreen Housing Advice kiosk, ENQUIRE, for some time. This provides key advice in a whole range of areas affecting the clients of the Housing Options service. The 'pod' is located in the public reception area and enables clients to self-advise - so helping staff to be more productive.
The resource has recently been opened up to speakers of a whole range of community languages. From the start, the content was presented in both English and Welsh - but now all the topics are presented in French, Polish, Farsi, Chinese and Bengali too! All speakers of these languages will be able to enjoy using the touchscreen technology to move quickly and easily through advice on resolving their housing problems. Each page reminds the customer that Swansea's interpretation service is on hand, should more information be required.
