ENQUIRE: Touch screen customer kiosk
Much of the time, frontline staff are repeating the same information again and again to people coming to them for help. Although many customers find it reassuring to go through the details face to face with an adviser, others are very comfortable with picking up the detail for themselves, after having been steered in the right direction.
So what's 'the right direction'? Destin has created an advice kiosk, using touch screen technology, which gives your customer the essential information they need. We have concentrated on Housing Benefit, Council Tax, Housing Options and Homelessness advice, but this can be expanded by our completely configurable solution.
This is all designed to improve the customer's experience, reducing waiting times and helping to ensure everyone has consistent, up-to-date information about a whole range of answers.
We have recent worked with Ashford Borough Council in this way. Ashford has been involved in an exciting Enhanced Housing Options Trailblazer programme. Trailblazer authorities are charged with developing new initiatives to provide a 'joined up' approach to two problems that often go hand in hand - Homelessness and Worklessness. As a direct result of the work we have carried out with Ashford Borough Council, Kent County Council has also acquired 3 kiosks for their SureStart Children's Centres in the Ashford area. Families struggling with housing and emplyment problems can get the advice they need whilst visiting the centres with their children.
