Gedling Borough Council

Gedling Borough Council commissioned Destin Solutions to develop a Revenue & Benefits online procedure manual for their department.

John Vickers, Revenues Services Manager said:

‘In looking for a procedure manual we did not want a product that was just lifted off the shelf. We wanted a manual that reflected the way we operate, that included our procedures, our training notes and our staff policy. Duncan Baxter was able to apply his experience in Revenues & Benefits to develop our manual to the standard and layout we require. He worked closely with my staff in Revenues and Benefits to ensure it was tailored to our specific requirements.

As with all procedure manuals it is essential that it is kept up to date. To ensure that this is the case we not only have a product that is supported by Destin but we have also been provided with the software and skills needed to update the manual ourselves.

The Knowledge Assessment Centre is a useful additional module that will enable us to determine the skill levels of staff and assist us in identifying our training requirements.

The manual and Knowledge Assessment Centre are tools that will provide users with invaluable information that will assist them in the day to day operation of the service.’
